トサカノリのスポアバック

近年,地域住民による藻場再生への取り組みが各地でおこなわれています。漁業者がトサカノリのスポアバックを設置したときき,調査の合間に見てみました。


今年はトサカノリが不漁ですが,来年は一面のトサカノリ群落になることを期待しています。

西表島,石垣島での調査 (Field survey in Iriomote and Ishigaki Islands)

海藻研の院生2名が西表島と石垣島で調査をおこないました。今週は,別の2名が長崎大学の練習船に乗船し,西表島の別の場所で調査をおこなっています。

Two MS students carried out their field survey in Iriomote-jima and Ishigaki-jima, Okinawa Prefecture. They focused on to collect the samples of Gracilaria and related species.

神戸大の調査に参加


神戸大が実施した兵庫県某所の調査に参加しました。毎年来ていますが、今年はとても穏やかな天候でした。黒く見えるのは全て藻場です。
この調査は神戸大、 三重大、水産大、鹿大(年によっては海洋大や水研も)の研究者が参加する大規模な調査で、他大学の先生方とお話しすることができるのも楽しみのひとつです。

馬毛島沖での調査航海 (Research voyage at the offshore of Mageshima Island)

海藻研の4年生が馬毛島沖で漸深帯(水深30-50m)に生育する海藻類の調査をおこないました。鹿児島大学水産学部附属練習船南星丸の調査航海です。

Four BS students, Marine Botany Lab.,  carried out their survey at offshore of Mageshima Island by TS Nanseimaru of Kagoshima University. They collected the samples form more than 30 m in deep.

報道各社は6月6日,天皇皇后両陛下が神奈川県水産技術センターを訪問され,アマモの育成技術等について視察されたと報道します。

中海のオゴノリを有効利用 (Utilization of Gracilarioids in Nakaumi)

中国新聞は6月5日,中海に繁茂するオゴノリ類を肥料に活用する取り組みについて報道しています。

Chugoku Shinbun (Newspaper), Hiroshima, reported that a company that was recently established is trying to make a manure from Gracilarioids. These seaweeds can be seen around the coastal area of Nakaumi, Shimane Prefecture, however, nobody used it.

熊本県天草で藻場調査 (Survey at Amakusa, Kumamoto)

4年生のKすのき君とT屋君が熊本県天草下島で藻場調査をおこないました。

Two BS students were doing fieldwork for the entire day in Amakusa, Kumamoto Prefecture. This seaweed community is known as the southernmost distributional limit for some Sargassum and Myagropsis.
