Mainichi Shinbun (newspaper), Tokyo, reported that Dr Yoshizaki (Toho University) and his friends are trying to repair the seaweed specimens at Yamada Town of Iwate Prefecture.
More than 80,000 sheets of these specimens were recently donated by Prof Yoshizaki to the museum of Yamada Town. However, these specimens were hard hit by recent tsunami disaster.
