宮島周辺で海藻採集 (Gracilaria vermiculophylla in Miyajima Shrine)

今月末はいろいろなところで調査をしていました。島にも行きました。書ききれないので，広島での調査の様子だけ紹介します。
I have been to some places including Miyajima Shrine, Hiroshima Prefecture, to collect seaweed samples.

世界遺産である巌島神社に行きました（観光ではありません）。まわりは観光客だらけですが，黙々とオゴノリを採取します。
Ikutsushima shrine (Miyajima Shrine), a Shinto shrine on the island of Miyajima in the city of Hatsukaichi in Hiroshima Prefecture, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here is known as one of the most popular sightseeing spot in Japan. For me, however, it is one of good sampling site of Gracilaria vermiculophylla.

鳥居を見上げる人は大勢いますが，下を向いて海藻を見ているのは私と同行のS袋博士だけでした。
Thousands of tourists were watching beautiful Torii gate that is standing on the sea. But we looked for the seaweeds. 

採集の後，新しくなった宮島水族館を見学しました。
After the fieldwork at Miyajima Shrine, we visited Miyajima Aquarium that was recently refurbished.

アマモ場水槽がありました。
There was a seagrass aquarium.

カキ養殖が観察できる水槽もありました。養殖筏がそのまま展示してあります。

We moved to the second site in Hatsukaichi City.

対岸の地御前干潟では，カキの採苗の様子を見ることができました。

 支柱にはアヤギヌがびっしりついています。
