かごしま環境未来館の海藻観察会(Seaweed-Watching Event by Kagoshima Museum of Environment)

連休最終日，かごしま環境未来館の環境学習講座として海藻観察会を行いました。天候に恵まれ，楽しい観察会になりました。
We had a seaweed-watching event for the public at Sakurajima yesterday as the official event of Kagoshima Museum of Environment. More than 15 people attended.

ヒジキやワカメ，テングサ類がはえている様子を観察しました。

波が穏やかで透明度がよく，波打ち際からもテーブルサンゴが見えました。深いところの海藻は院生のK村君とS田君が採集してくれました。水の中で輝くトゲナシマダラは評判ががよかったようです。
There was a lot of seaweed including Undaria, Gelidium and Sargassum. Weather was fine, and water was clear. We could see some corals from the seashore. Although our students collected Fauchea leptophylla from 10 m deep, everybody was impressed its beauty.

来週は，採集した海藻を使って押し葉作成会を開催します。
Next weekend, we will be having another event to make a seaweed art at Kagoshima Museum of Environment.
