いちき串木野市でサンゴ・藻場調査 (Field survey in Kushikino City)

M1のW邊君がいちき串木野市のサンゴ・海藻混生群集で潜水調査をおこないました。
MS student, Yuki, carried out his field survey at Kushikino City, Kagoshima Prefecture. He focuses on to elucidating the characteristics of seaweed / corals communities in relation to the climate changes.

この場所は，水深2-4mくらいが磯焼けになっていますが，それ以深がテーブルサンゴ（エンタクミドリイシ）の群集になっています。
There were large table coral communities at the depth from 4 to 8 m. Meanwhile, seaweed community including Sargassum and Eckloniopsis was restricted only at the depth of more than 10 m.

 サンゴの限界水深より深いところにはホンダワラ類がはえていました。他に，アントクメも見られます。zonationが興味深い場所です。
