I will be in Krabi of Thailand this week to conduct the seaweed collection survey with Thai and Belgian scientists. Although detailed reports will be updated after come back home, I uploaded two photos of Caulerpa that were found in the dinner (not underwater, on the dish).
海藻調査でクラビーに来ていますが,夕食の席でKhan先生(カセサート大学)がイワズタの一種をサラダで持ってきてくれました。海ぶどうとは違う種類ですが,こちらの方がさらに美味しいです。
A famous Thai seaweed scientist, Prof Khan brought Caulerpa salad for us as the additional dish of our dinner. It was a cultured alga that was harvested by a aquaculture farmer in Krabi. Taste is good.
This is "Caulerpa drink". I've never seen such a unique seaweed drink in Japan, however, taste was good.
こっちは「イワズタ・ドリンク」です。聞くと絶句しそうですが,意外と美味しかったです。沖縄でも商品化できるのではないでしょうか?
