Zostera marina（アマモが芽生えの季節）
On Friday afternoon, I checked the current status of Zostera marina at my study site, Kagoshima Bay. There were lots of germinated plants.

Zostera marina is widely distributed in the Pacific, and generally
regarded as the perennial plant. However, the ecotype of Kagoshima Bay,
southernmost distributional limit in the western Pacific, is known to
have an annual life history.
