今回，鹿屋市漁協にお招きいただき，組合員や地域の方を対象に，藻場の重要性に関する講演をおこないました。
10年以上におよぶアマモ場の保全活動は試行錯誤の繰り返しだったようですが，見渡す限り広がるアマモ場が今も見守り続けられています。
Kanoya City Fishermen's union, Kagoshima Prefecture, is conducting a project to conserve the seagrass bed at their field more than ten years. Actually, in Kanoya, there is a beautiful and large seagrass bed along the beach.
Today, I had a opportunity to attend their meeting to talk about the importance of seagrass bed in the coastal ecosystem. I hope this wonderful seagrass bed will be protected by them for future generation.
