天草下島での調査 (Field survey in Amakusa)

4年生のKすのき君とM2のS木君が熊本県の天草下島で藻場調査をおこないました。
Two students were doing fieldwork for the entire day in Amakusa-Shimojima, an Island of Kumamoto Prefecture.

鹿児島市内から長島の蔵之元まで約2時間強。ここから対岸に見える牛深まで30分の船旅です。そこから車で約50分で調査地に到着します。陸路の日帰り調査としては最も遠い場所かもしれません（空路は奄美日帰り，水路は種子島日帰り）。
Left at 8am and returned at 8pm.  Actually, it is more than four hours drive to Amakusa. Too long for me..... but I must come back home by evening.
I think it was the toughest fieldwork of the season, and it ended rather well.
