スミレモ (Trentepohlia aurea)

スミレモ属Trentepohliaが密生している場所があると教えてもらいました。室蘭臨海実験所から市街地に向かう途中です。
絶句・・・・これはすごいですね。

On the way to the station, Dr Taizo stopped his car and showed us an interesting aerial algal community. It was the interesting Trentepohlia aurea community.
It was the walking distance from the lab. I would recommend this place to everyone who will visit the Muroran Marine Lab of Hokkaido University.
壁面一面に広がるのは苔でなく，気生藻です。 しかも，緑藻のスミレモTrentepohlia aureaです。

講義に使える写真が撮れました。学生の皆さんは，これが緑藻なのに緑色に見えない理由を考えてみて下さい。講義では教えました。

室蘭での調査も無事に終わり，九州に帰ります。
