Field survey at Cape Sata（佐多岬で調査）

I conducted the field survey for Meristotheca papulosa at Cape Sata. Local government and municipal officers also attended. Meristotheca papulosa is one of the famous edible seaweeds in Kagoshima Prefecture. As the result of the harvesting and anthropogenic activity, there is a great possibility that these resources will decline. The management of this resource has strongly been required.

佐多岬でトサカノリの生育調査を行いました。トサカノリは海藻サラダの原料として採取されており，鹿児島県の主要な食用海藻のひとつです。

佐多岬最南端の漁港から出港です。

漁場には，想像以上にソフトコーラルが多いですね。

Meristotheca papulosa

故・糸野先生の論文にも出てくる枇榔島です。
